Dan Richards-Doran

With 20 years dedicated to strategic communications and engagement for science and innovation, Dan has supported some of the UK’s leading researchers and worked with higher education, charities, industry, UK Government, and the NHS.

Before joining Campus PR, Dan built and led in-house teams at the University of Oxford, the Medical Research Council, and the British Science Association. He also managed the UK’s National Science & Engineering Week for several years and, during the pandemic, served as communications lead for a national priority clinical trial of Covid-19 treatments - one of the world’s largest community-based Covid-19 trials.

Dan particularly enjoys crafting compelling stories about research and has always been passionate about inspiring excitement and trust in science. He specialises in navigating complex and sensitive topics, including research with animals, tobacco addiction, Covid-19, and obesity.

He has a BSc (Hons) in Medical Microbiology and postgraduate diplomas in Science Communication and Public Relations.
